ESPN Star Commentator

Skype wanted to showcase online videos. We took the idea a step further and partnered them up with ESPN, creating the first ever online audition platform.

Most of us grow up wanting to be a sports superstar. As time (and reality) sets in, we ending settling on being a sports fan. As a result, hundreds of millions of sports fan watch their favourite sports on television. To get their updates, they turn to ESPN SportsCenter.

So we asked ourselves, "wouldn't it be cool to be on SportsCenter?"

With the support of Skype and Jobstreet, we launched the Star Commentator and created the first ever online sportscaster audition platform. After 3 months, the Star Commentator platform received over 2000 auditions and tens of thousands of votes, comments and ratings.

The winner of the Star Commentator, Steve Lai, is now a regular fixture on SportsCenter in Asia.
